Life at Grace Haven

Our Mission, Word by Word

Grace Haven Senior Living ·

Our mission is to joyfully provide exceptional patient care that ensures spiritual, emotional and physical health, while fostering dignity and preserving quality of life. Mission statements are easy to write and hard to live. Here is what ours means to us.

Joyfully

Care done grudgingly is felt by the person receiving it. We hire people who like older adults and like this work, and we try to keep the building a cheerful place: music, birthdays, a cook who jokes with the residents.

Exceptional care

Awake staff all night. Medications handled with a pharmacist's oversight. Daily housekeeping. Three cooked meals. CPR and First Aid certified staff. These are the floor, not the ceiling.

Spiritual, emotional, and physical

A body that is fed and safe is one part. A heart that has company and purpose is another. A spirit that can pray, sing, or sit quietly with its own thoughts is the third. We try to look after all three.

Dignity

Private rooms. Private bathrooms. Residents called by the name they prefer. Choices about when to get up, what to do, and whether to join in.

Quality of life

Not just more days, but better ones. Sun on the patio. A grandchild's visit. Dancing to live music. A good supper with friends.
